When you create an account, we collect:

Depending on your country, you may optionally provide:
- India: Aadhaar number, PAN number, GST number
- UAE: Emirates ID, VAT number

When you add family members to your account, we collect:
- Full name, date of birth, gender, and relationship
- Phone number, email address, and address
- Occupation and blood group
- Emergency contact details

2.4 Financial Information
The core of our platform involves storing your financial data, which may include:
- Bank Accounts: Bank name, branch, account number, IFSC code, account type, and balance
- Bank Lockers: Locker number, access details, and annual rent information
- Credit & Debit Cards: Card details and expiry information
- Investments: Stocks, mutual funds, SIPs, fixed deposits, PPF, bonds, and cryptocurrency holdings including folio numbers, demat accounts, quantities, and valuations
- Insurance Policies: Policy numbers, sum assured, premium amounts, beneficiary details, and renewal dates for life, health, vehicle, and home insurance
- Properties: Property address, valuation, purchase price, area, and mortgage details
- Vehicles: Registration number, chassis/engine numbers, and insurance/fitness expiry dates
- Gold & Jewellery: Item details, weight, purity, valuation, and storage location
- Loans: Lender details, loan amount, EMI, interest rate, and repayment schedules (both loans taken and given)
- Utility Bills: Bill provider details, payment status, and auto-pay settings
- Wills & Estate Planning: Testator, executor, beneficiary, and asset coverage details
2.5 Health Records
You may optionally store health-related information including:
- Vaccination records and medical prescriptions
- Hospital visits and lab test results
- Follow-up appointment dates
2.6 Documents and Files
You may upload documents such as insurance certificates, property deeds, bank statements, and identity documents. We store the file name, type, size, and the file itself securely.
2.7 Payment and Subscription Information
When you purchase a subscription, we collect payment details processed through Razorpay, including order ID, payment ID, payment status, and transaction amount. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
2.8 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our platform, we automatically collect:
- Session Data: IP address, browser type (user agent), and last activity timestamp
- Activity Logs: Actions performed on the platform (create, update, delete, view) for audit trail purposes, including old and new values of changed records
- Login Information: Last login timestamp and IP address
2.9 CA/Accountant Information
If you register as a Chartered Accountant or financial professional, we additionally collect:
- Firm name and CA registration number
- Specialisation, office address, and office phone
- GST number and professional bio
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Provide and Manage Services
- Create and manage your account and family unit
- Store and organise your financial records securely
- Provide dashboard summaries and consolidated views of your financial data
- Send reminders for insurance renewals, FD maturity dates, EMI due dates, and other financial events
- Fetch live market data for your stock and mutual fund investments
- Auto-fetch utility bill information through BBPS integrations
3.2 Communication
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, welcome emails)
- Send payment receipts and subscription confirmations
- Send reminders and notifications about your financial assets
- Respond to your support tickets and contact form submissions
3.3 Security and Compliance
- Maintain activity logs and audit trails for accountability
- Detect and prevent unauthorised access to your account
- Enforce our Terms of Service
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
3.4 Family Sharing and Access Control
- Enable family members to view and manage shared financial records based on permissions you set
- Allow CA/Accountants to access your records if you grant them permission
- Manage role-based access (owner, member, CA, financial advisor) with granular module-level permissions
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal or financial information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Family Members and Authorised Users
Your financial records may be visible to other family members or authorised professionals (CA, financial advisors) based on the permissions you configure. You have full control over who can view, edit, or manage your data.
4.2 With Service Providers
We share limited information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:
- Razorpay: Payment processing for subscriptions
- SMTP Mail Service: Sending transactional and notification emails
- Alpha Vantage / Finnhub: Fetching live stock market prices (no personal data shared, only stock symbols)
- MFAPI / AMFI: Fetching mutual fund NAV data (no personal data shared)
- Setu / Cashfree BBPS: Auto-fetching utility bill information (customer identifiers shared with bill providers)
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vansh Connect, our users, or others.
4.4 Business Transfers
If Vansh Connect is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your personal and financial information:
Security Measures Include:
- Encryption: Sensitive data such as account numbers, demat accounts, wallet addresses, vehicle registration numbers, and chassis/engine numbers are encrypted in the database
- Password Security: All passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text
- Session Security: Sessions are stored in the database with HTTP-only cookies and SameSite protection against CSRF attacks
- CSRF Protection: All form submissions are protected with CSRF tokens
- Access Controls: Role-based access control with granular permissions at module and asset level
- Soft Deletes: Deleted records are soft-deleted (marked as removed) rather than permanently destroyed, allowing recovery if needed
- Activity Logging: All changes to financial records are logged with timestamps, user details, and old/new values for audit purposes
While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We are committed to protecting your information to the best of our ability.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Update
You can access and update your personal information, family member details, and financial records at any time by logging into your account.
6.2 Deletion
You can delete individual financial records from any module. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact our support team. Note that some records may be retained as required by law.
6.3 Notification Preferences
You can configure notification preferences for each financial asset, choosing whether to receive email reminders for renewals, maturity dates, and other events.
6.4 Access Permissions
You can manage who has access to your financial data at any time by updating family member permissions, CA access, or financial advisor access through your account settings.

- Session Cookie: Maintains your login session (expires after 120 minutes of inactivity)

8. Third-Party Services
Our platform integrates with the following third-party services:
- Razorpay: For processing subscription payments. Razorpay has its own privacy policy governing how they handle payment data.
- Stock Market APIs (Alpha Vantage, Finnhub): For fetching live stock prices. Only stock symbols are sent; no personal data is shared.
- Mutual Fund APIs (MFAPI, AMFI): For fetching fund NAV data. No personal data is shared.
- BBPS Providers (Setu, Cashfree): For auto-fetching utility bills. Customer identifiers are shared with bill providers to retrieve bill information.
- SMTP Email Service: For sending emails. Your email address and name are shared for email delivery.
9. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Specific retention practices:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Soft-deleted records are retained for a reasonable period to allow recovery.
- Financial Records: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted records are soft-deleted and may be retained for legal compliance.
- Activity Logs: Retained for audit trail purposes as long as the associated account exists.
- Session Data: Session records expire after 120 minutes of inactivity and are periodically cleaned up.
- Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting purposes.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Services are designed for adults managing family finances. While family members of any age may be added as records within a family unit, account registration and platform access require the user to be at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts independently.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
